Note to the Trainer: "A Guide to Financial Record Keeping for
Farmers and Ranchers" was designed in collaboration with
community-based organizations serving diverse farmers ranging from new
immigrant farmers to Native American cattle ranchers, Black and Asian
vegetable producers and Latino apple producers. They designed this
curriculum as the basic components they would need to customize a training
program to meet the needs of their farmers.
The Rural Coalition and its members developed the curriculum for the benefit of minority
farmers and other small farmers with major federal support from USDA Risk Management
Agency Civil Rights and Community Outreach Program. Under the partnership agreement
between the Rural Coalition and the Risk Management Agency, this manual is the property
